It is said that the19th century is the era of text, while the20th is the era of image.Animation, as one of the most important streams in the20th, is expressing the bestthoughts and hopes that people had. Today, it has even become the combination ofinnocence, purity, straight forwardness, romance, thinking, and entertainment.Indulge in the animation world, people feel like being in fairy tales, fantasy, or evensurreal space time. The bizarre story, the screen performance of exquisite andtouching beauty of music, has time and time again taken people to the climax ofsensory simulation.Therefore, people love animation, love this wonderful dream world detachedfrom reality. From love to think, people began to explore the performance of such anart form. How is the story told by animation and how is it shot? Why static picturescan become such dynamic video scenes? Why the fictional stories can stimulate suchreal and touching emotions?With all these questions, people depart the glamorous screen and started theexpedition of study. Decades of ups and downs, people gradually found that theoriginal animation has its own unique way of expression——animation lens. Sincethen, the study of this unique expression has become an interesting and meaningfulmatter.Opening the thick historical scroll of animation, it is easy to find that there havebeen countless documents and enormous works done by scholars, senior academicsand industry experts in the past, which has accumulated rich experience and everyoneis deeply impressed by. However, there is always imperfection. I find among all theseinformative and quite detailed researches, the scheduling of lenses is not mentionedmuch and it is only limited to some textbooks and teaching materials, whichundoubtedly is a pity in the study of the animation lenses.Due to the above andbased on logics, this article starts from scratch and discusses in detail the connotation, the elements and the major role of animation lensscheduling. It preliminarily summarized the Artistic characteristics and designfeatures of animation lens scheduling and thus provides the oretical support for futureresearches. It has intentionally selected some classic domestic and foreign animationsas study case. By analyzing some usage of animation lens scheduling and providingboth illustration and discussion, it explicitly explains the theory. Starting from thetechnical as pects of the animator and targeting on practice, this article objectivelyanalyzes the new techniques in lens scheduling in some classic scenes of the3Danimation "Avatar". It also studies the characteristics, regular patterns and the angleof thinking and provides effective reference for practical application.
