Achievement motive(achievement motivation) is the internal psychological process thatwhen a person consider a job is important or valuable, he will not only be willing to do it, butalso strive to achieve a higher standard. Achievement motive is an important part of our powersystem of psychological activities. It is continuous power that push us forward and up. It hashuge catalytic effect on individual work and study. In addition, the US scholar D.C.Mcllelland’studies show that people’s achievement motive level has promoting effect on the nationaleconomic growth and social wealth accumulation.This study used method of qualitative research, the author has in-depth interview researchon32master graduate students (including28female graduate students,4male graduate students)from4universities of Guangxi, through the interpretation of their words, I know their opinionson women’s pursuing success and obtaining achievement, meanwhile, through the share ofsubjective experience from female graduate students’ obtaining achievements, Author exploresthe formation of the female graduate’s achievement motivation, value orientation andcharacteristics of achievement motivation, and the impact of gender on their achievementmotivation.The results of the study showed that the female graduate student achievement motivationhas the following four features:1, the achievement motive present diversity;2, the achievementmotive show contradiction;3, achievement motive is susceptible to social culture influence;4,achievement motivation has characteristic of sacrifice. While factors that influence achievementmotivation of the female graduate student are:1, personal ability and the previous record;2, theinfluence of social environment;3, the force of example;4, attitude towards studying andworking;5, goal setting and implementation;6, the influence of family and university;7,women’s own characteristics. Research conclusion:1, the current female graduate students were not completely out of the influence oftraditional concepts in career choice, the desire for career success is not strong, their pursuit ofsuccess is lack of initiative and enthusiasm pursuit, achievement motivation is vulnerable toexternal interference.2, The diversity of female graduate students’ achievement motivation is the results ofindividual and social collision; That female graduate students’ achievement motivation showscontradiction is role conflict in fact; The degree of female graduate students’ achievementmotive has close relationship with their own characteristics; the height of female graduatestudents’ achievement motive has close relationship with external support.3, traditional concepts are the roots which caused different achievement motivationsbetween men and women; Whether there is the need of the achievement is the premise offemale master graduate students’ success motivation. Whether we can envisage femalecharacteristics and be full of confidence is the foundation that can improve success motivation offemale master graduate students. Individual characteristics are the reason that influence successmotivation of different female master graduate students4, Female graduate student needs to pay attention to the cultivation of their achievementmotivation, meanwhile they themselves scan social traditional concepts and others’ influenceon their realizing their maximization of social valueIn the basis of the above conclusions, the author thinks that we can improve femalegraduate students’ achievement motivation from the following two aspect: Firstly, attentionshould be paid to the sex education in thought, we also need to pay attention to the genderimpact on the female graduate students’ achievement motive; Secondly, in the practice ofeducation content, we should encourage and help female graduate students achieve success,thus stimulates the achievement motive of them.
