Time is an important kind of resource. Nowadays, how to make use of time scientifically and logically has been paraded as a significant symbol of the social personality of modern citizens. Time management disposition (TMD for short), is a stable and dynamic characteristic manifested by one’s style of utilizing time. Recently, researches on TMD have become a latest realm in the psychological domain, most of which refer to relative researches. TMD is affected by many factors, among which personality and achievement motive are two crucial ones. A-type personality is a solidified behavior mode, the characteristics of which such as the sense of time haste, consideration to more things and hurry, relate to one’s attitude towards time and the conduct of managing time. Consequently, it will put some influences on TMD. Besides, achievement motive, the inner driving force of pursuing for success running through the process of fulfilling a task, also has something to do with TMD. Specifically, one’s purposiveness, activeness and perseverance displayed in pursue of success are connected with his attitude towards time and sense of time value.This paper investigated the characteristic of graduates’TMD, A-type personality as well as achievement motive, and what’s more, the relation among them. The method adopted is questionnaire investigation.560graduates in three colleges were conducted to complete three questionnaires. The results are as followed:(1) The level of graduates’TMD is wholly above upper middle level. And there are statistically significant differences of their TMD on major and grade; no statistically significant differences on gender or student cadre are found in this survey. Graduates’ A-type personality is wholly middle type, and there are statistically significant differences of their A-type personality on gender, major, grade and student cadre; the level of achievement motive is above average level. There are statistically significant differences on major, grade and student cadre, but no significant difference on gender is found.(2) There is statistically significant positive correlation between graduates’A-type personality; Graduates who reveal more characteristics of A-type personality tend to have higher levels of TMD.(3) There is statistically significant correlation between graduates’achievement motive and TMD. More specifically, the motive of pursuing success has significantly positive correlation with TMD and sense of time efficacy, but has significantly negative correlation with sense of time value; comparatively, the motive of avoiding failure has negative correlation with TMD and its three factors.(4) Graduates’ A-type personality has an indirect effect on TMD through achievement motive, which means achievement motive plays the role of media variable on the relation between A-type personality and TMD.
