Mr. Hu shi is a writer, a philosopher and a critic; he has obtained some achievements in these areas all his life. This paper will select "literary revolution" as a breakthrough point, and to describe the process of such a theory how to be brought up, how to form, how to develop and how to establish. All of the studies will base on the diaries, letters, reading notes, and works of Mr. Hu shi from1915to1935. In addition, the author will combine with the related research to explain some key problems under the topic of Hu shi and the "literary revolution".From the above considerations, this paper’s first chapter will discuss that Mr. Hu shi how to bring up the theory of "literary revolution". The author will focus on the interaction between the Mei Guangdi and Hu Shi, and to find Mei Guangdi’s meaning for the new literature; the second chapter will pay attention to the development and establishment of "literary revolution" theory, so how to construct the whole theoretical system of "literary revolution" is the key; the last chapter will discuss two questions:the "literary revolution" why could allow fame to Hu Shi and the blind spots of "literary revolution" theory.This paper combines the historical data’s collection, collation with comment, which is intended to solve some key problems, such as the forming process of "literary revolution" theory, the relationship of Hu Shi and the literary revolution", and the blind spots of "literary revolution" theory.
