By describing the structure and explaining it ingrammaticalization and cognitive aspect, we hope to enrich theresearch of the quasi-fixed structure and apply it in teaching moreeffectively. Apart from the introduction and conclusion, there are fourchapters in this thesis. In the first chapter we inspect the structural features and syntacticfunctions of the structure “youAyouBâ€. Through the inspection ofstructural features and the tendentiousness of the syntax distribution ofthe structure, we find that Aã€B in the structure can be in varied formsand are of the same kind in the nature of grammar. Moreover, Aã€Bwhich are composed of subjective morphemes or phrases are obviouslymore than those which are made up of predicative or “jiaciâ€morphemes or phrases. Through the inspection of structural featuresand the tendentiousness of the syntax distribution of the structure, wefind that Aã€B in the structure can be in varied forms and are of the samekind in the nature of grammar. The grammatical functionsofâ€youAyouB†structure are very agile. It can be used as subject, predicate, object, adverbial attributives, and complements. In mostcases, they are used as predicate. So we think that, judging from thecategory structure, it belongs to the combination phrases which iscomposed by two verb+object phrases and from the syntacticfunction, it’s very declarative, so we can judge that it belongs topredicative phrases. In the second chapter we analyze the semantics of “youAyouBâ€structure. In this chapter we inspect the inner and external semanticrelations of the structure and induce the semantic relation stylesbetween A and B and the semantic features of the whole structure. We also analyze and summarize the factors which constrain the sequenceof the Aã€B in the structure. Through the inspecting the semantic relationsof the structure, we think that it’s form is distinct and it has a variety ofmeanings and flexible usages. It is suitable for the expression of thedifferent needs and plays an important role in the practical applicationof modern Chinese. In the third chapter we have cognitive analysis toâ€youAyouBâ€structure. We tempt to use some related cognitive theories such as theconceptual metaphor theory〠the conceptual integration theory andthe relevance theory and so on to make an innovative cognition to thecognitive process of the structure’s formation and development. Wethink the phrases of this kind of structure form a developing continuum, that is temporary phrases, quasi-fixed structures and fixedphrases(mainly refers to the idiom). When we analyze the structure, weintroduce the concept of quasi-fixed structures. We try to establish theformat hierarchies standards and classified the structure according tothe standards. We explain and analyze the structure by combining thestatic and dynamic cognitive process with the specific examples andfind that the cognitive process of the structure is essentially humancognitive process psychological representive embodiment. In thischapter we also generalize the pragmatic features of the structure. It isjust because of its unique pragmatic value that make the structurerange of use is more and more widely and the structure productivityhigher and higher. The last chapter simply study the formation and development andthe cause of the “youAyouB†structure. From retrieving the languagematerial we have now we find that the structure first appeared in theZhou dynasty. There are both internal and external cause to prompt it toform and develop. The inner cause lies in the Chinese two-syllable andthe rhythm of the structure itself; The external cause is the language outside factors that is the influence of the literature works in Chinesehistory and the psychological characteristics of the Chinese nation. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | “youAyouB†structur feature syntacticfunction, semantic relationship, quasi-fixed structure, cognitionanalysis, pragmatic function | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
