| Shanqu is a folk song form which is popular in Hequ County Shanxi Province. Its tune is resounding, clear and beautiful and its language simple, natural and sincere, which has a strong sense of the country life. With the real outpouring of people’s inner feeling, Shanqu reflects abstractly and truly all the aspects of social life of working people in Hequ. As one of the exotic flowers of Chinese traditional music, Shanqu has a very high artistic quality and research value, it is worthy of excavating, arranging, researching and extending.Based on the previous studies and widely possession of information and field survey, the author of this dissertation used several integrated research methods, trying to start from the geographical, historical and cultural background of Shanqu, to analyze its characteristics as the division of subjects, language features, musical modality, and then to discuss and analyze Shanqu from the perspective of the national music development.This dissertation consists of four chapters. Chapter one mainly summarizes the geographical and historical background of Shanqu. Chapter two introduces the division of subjects, metrical characteristics, language and lyrics of Shanqu. Chapter three focuses on the analysis of the musical modality of Shanqu. Chapter four summarizes the heritage and development of Shanqu.Through the above research, this dissertation aims to reveal the important status and artistic value of Shanqu, which serves as one of the important carrier of our national folk music and intangible cultural heritage and then to initiate people’s attention and thinking about Shanqu. |
