African art is famous for its’unique charm of form and aesthetic characteristics,it brought the countless creation of passion and creative inspiration to the European avant-garde artists at beginning of the last century, playing a decisive guidance and role to the whole of the20th century western modern art movement. As the contemporary western’s most influential and creative artists, Picasso is no exception "infected" by the African art, and formed his unique Africa-period, write down his glorious chapter in art career. His oil painting 《Les Demoiselles d’Avignon)) is the iconic work of Africa-period turn to the cubism-period, this painting represents the influence of the Africa woodcarving form language on its picture form language construction, not only in the form of performance, but also in the spirit connotation, it all have some common ground to worth explore. There is very few analysis and expound about form language of 《Les Demoiselles d’Avignon》 together with Africa woodcarving form language in detail on Africa woodcarving research, just contact Picasso with Africa art to discuss the form characteristics and originality of Africa art.In this paper, I take the literature research method, interview research method, the empirical research method and so on many kinds of methods for analysis and demonstration, from art-period which Picasso experienced to the ((Les Demoiselles d’Avignon)), from 《Les Demoiselles d’Avignon)) to Africa woodcarving, compare and analysis on the form language of 《Les Demoiselles d’Avignon》 and form language of Africa woodcarving of their own characteristics, and sums up relationship and common character between them, I will blend the five "perceptual elements" about form analysis which puts forward by British artist Roger Frei into form language of 《Les Demoiselles d’Avignon》 to interpret which form elements of using for reference from Africa form language, and on the basis of it to subjective built. Finally, through the argument of the relationship between《Les Demoiselles d’Avignon)) and Africa woodcarving form language, from culture and art angle of China-Africa communication and cooperation and view of art creation to get some thoughts. This paper always throughout two lines: one is the Africa woodcarving form language referenced by 《Les Demoiselles d’Avignon》(the originality of Africa woodcarving form language),another line is 《Les Demoiselles d’Avignon》 picture construction on the basis of Africa form language(the subjective creativity of picture form language),the former is the main line, the latter is subordinate line, the two lines always closely together in good highlighted the purport of the paper.This paper will be divided into four sections, the first section as the introduction to the article and point out the direction of the related concepts, make the main explain of this paper; the second chapter tells six major art-period which Picasso experienced especially Africa-period painting form language style, then for the analysis of《Les Demoiselles d’Avignon》 form language; the third chapter will appeared corresponding element between form language of Africa woodcarving and the form language of 《Les Demoiselles d’Avignon》, exploring which element learn from the Africa woodcarving language, this chapter is the theme of the core part in this paper; the fourth chapter I will analysis the subjective creation of 《Les Demoiselles d’Avignon)) form language on the basis of Africa woodcarving form language. The focal point in this paper is the third and fourth chapter, it will be fully combined to analysis on the 《Les Demoiselles d’Avignon》 form language and Africa woodcarving form language, to highlight the originality of Africa woodcarving form language and the subjective creativity of 《Les Demoiselles d’Avignon》 form language.
