A Study On Public Participation Ways Of Public Art In Hangzhou

The problems of public art on public attention gradually cause the attention ofdomestic experts and scholars in recent years, with the development of city public artin china, people have come to realize that public art is no longer a pure artistic style, itcan be the way of paying attention to the modern social life and intervening in it.Public participation is the important guarantee for public art in existence. Relied onthe development of public art and theory of public participation, based on theexperience of public participation in art of other cities, combined with the practice ofpublic participation on city construction, city planning and contemporary art, thisresearch analyses and draws the relevant conclusions about the time and conditions ofpublic participation in Hangzhou. What’s more, it explores the methods of publicparticipation on public art program and public art activities, and brings forward themain methods of public art participation in Hangzhou for consideration.This paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is the general introduction of the system, including thesignificance and purpose of the paper, the research scope and limitations, the researchmethods and frameworks and the explanation of important terms.The second chapter expounds the public participation and its significance for theturning of the contemporary public art, and reviews the theories of publicparticipation.Chapter three, the modes of public art participation in other cities was submittedto analysis.The fourth chapter analyses the present situation of public participation andconditions of participation in Hangzhou, and presets the methods of public artparticipation.The fifth chapter stresses the importance of the research on public participation,presets the major mode of public participation in Hangzhou, and put forward my ownproposal.
