Methods Of Terminology Translation And Management In Professional Translation

This paper discusses methods of Chinese-to-English terminology translation andmanagement in professional translation by analyzing the author’s experience inrelevant areas.Using the "2010Report on China’s Outsourcing Development" as a sample casefor analysis, the paper begins with a definition of terminology and describes twogeneral types of terms that appear in the sample document. The paper then proceeds topresent three main methods of terminology translation by analyzing examples selectedfrom the case and points out precautions in terminology translation. The third part ofthe paper focuses on the management of terminology translation. The paper concludeswith a brief summary of the proper methods of terminology translation andmanagement in professional translation.
