The accuracy of terminology is one of the key dimensions defining how professional a translator is.The fact that quality control-related documents are regulatory and compulsory for their target readers results in higher bars raised for the accuracy of their translation.The article is based on the analysis of two translation projects,namely,Wilspec Supplier Quality Manual and Brose Quality Management Regulations-Production Materia.Starting with the definition and classification of terminologies,it aims to identify problems that usually occur during terminology translation of quality control documents,and solutions and strategies from perspectives of both terminology management and translation,in order for the project to best avoid wrong translation and missed terminologies,thus making the translation as accurate and professional as possible. |
