A Research On Folk Inheritance Way Of Qiang Embroidery

Most of the current studies on Qiang Embroidery are a general cultural inspection from its artistic value and aesthetic points of view of their pattern, styles, etc., though a small number of scholars focus on its connotations of religion and culture, its protection and development. However, there have never been researchers who are concerned about changes of the ways of its succession and the evolution of regional ethnic culture during its advancement.This paper applied the methods of educational anthropology. On the basis of the fieldwork, it investigated ways of succession of Qiang embroidery. Facing problems and difficulties, it proposed how to protect and proclaim the work of national traditional culture.Introduction:a brief description and explanation of topics, theories, methods and significance of this study.Chapter Ⅰ:backgrounds of the study of Qiang embroidery craft tradition.This chapter made a brief introduction of Qiang’s history, culture and the fieldwork location-Shuiruo chun in Maoxian. Also, it provided a brief overview of composition, color application, skills and stitch of Qiang embroidery.Chapter Ⅱ:Surveys of current ways of succession of Qiang embroidery.Starting from the usages and owning of Qiang costumes, this chapter investigated the heritage of the Qiang in civil in detail. It analyzed the family heritage of the Qiang embroidery, the companion succession and community succession. Finally, it summed up the problems and difficulties coming up during the process of succession of Qiang embroideryChapter Ⅲ:Search for the reasons of the heritage of the Qiang embroidery.This chapter analyzed what account for Qiang embroidery current heritage status in modern society. It pointed out that the changes of social and economic structures, the impact of modern culture and the penetration of modern education are the reasons for the rapid changes of the Qiang embroidery.Chapter Ⅳ:Construction of the thinking of Qiang embroidery craft folk succession.This chapter focused on how to inherit and develop Qiang embroidery. It proposed to reshape the platform of family heritage, establish extensive exchanges of arts and crafts, economize ethnic crafts, and acquire strong government support as well. In the mean time, it mentioned to take advantage of the powerful role of education and transmit culture in effective ways to diversify human civilization.
