In recent years,the problem of migrant children has caused serious concern tothe academic figures. To explore possible intervention ways by studying the EffectMechanism of Stigma Perception on Social Adaptation Among Migrant Children,this paper integrated quantity and quality research.817students in Migrantworkers’ Children school of Suzhou took part in the study, by using StigmaPerception scale, resilience scale, social support scale, Social Adaptation scale.Then the reports of mass media about the migrant children, the social distancebetween the public and the migrant children, a sense of belong and self-identity ofthe migrant children, the case study of migrant children were taken to beinterviewed in depth in order to identify the fundamental reasons behinddifferences.The results indicated that:(1)The Stigma Perception scale for Migrant children had good reliability andvalidity.(2)70%of migrant children had moderate scores on the perception of stigmaperception. There’re significant differences between different genders in stigmaperception. There’re significant differences between different genders and mobilityin stigma perception. Meanwhile Stigma Perception are used more by long-termmigrant children than short-term migrant children. There’re significant differencesbetween different social economic status in stigma perception. Compared with highsocial economic status, low social economic status migrant children had moreexperience of discrimination. There’re significant differences between differentgroup attitude in stigma perception. Compared with pro-migrant bias, migrantchildren with pro-city bias and migrant children with no bias had more experienceof discrimination.(3) There’re significant differences between different mobility in loneliness,self-esteem, sense of belonging and psychology adaptation. Meanwhile lonelinessand self-esteem are used more by long-term migrant children than short-termmigrant children. There’re significant differences between different socialeconomic status in loneliness, depression, sense of belonging, psychology adaptation. The high social economic status migrant children had the least motionof loneliness and depression, and had the most sense of belonging and psychologyadaptation. There’re significant differences between different mobility in lonelinessand depression. Meanwhile loneliness and depression are used more by long-termmigrant children than short-term migrant children. There’re significant differencesbetween different group attitude in sense of belonging and psychology adaptation.Compared with pro-migrant bias, migrant children with pro-city bias had low levelof sense of belonging and psychology adaptation.(4) There’re significant differences between different genders in social support.Meanwhile family support are used more by primary school migrant children thanjunior high school migrant children, and junior high school migrant children hadmore friends’ social support than primary schools children. There’re significantdifferences between different group attitude in social support. The pro-migrant biasmigrant children had the least level of social support.(5) Migrant children had moderate scores on the level of resilience. There’resignificant differences between different genders in resilience.(6) The stigma perception has significant negative correlation with psychologyadaptation. The attribution to discrimination has significant positive correlationwith social support. The experience of discrimination has significant negativecorrelation with family support and friend support, has significant positivecorrelation with teacher support. Psychology adaptation has significant positivecorrelation with social support, and loneliness, depression has significant negativecorrelation with social support. The resilience has significant positive correlationwith social support, psychology adaptation, self-esteem and sense of belonging, andhas significant negative correlation with loneliness and depression.(7)Migrant children’s stigma perception, social support and resilience canpredict the psychology adaptation. Social support as a mediator partly mediated therelationship between stigma perception and psychology. Resilience cansignificantly moderate the relation between stigma perception and psychology.(8) The reports of mass media about the migrant children and the socialdistance between the public and the migrant children reflects on migrant children’srejection. Migrant children have a much lower standard of self-identity. For migrantchildren, the sense of belonging to the city is far lower than to their hometown.
