In addition to the family and companions, school plays a core role in youngteenagers’ life. School belonging is an emotional attitude worthy of attention.School belonging also refers to a kind of mental state,in which the studentsconsider themselves as part of the schools and formed a collective psychologicalstate by the students and teachers. This kind of state is not only the identificationof ones’ school membership, but also a kind of individual emotion. And thehappiness for being a member of the school, they combined the school honor andpersonal honor in spirit and willing to take part in the varied activities to advanceones’ own development.On the basis of empirical research and interviewing students, the literaturereview on student’s school belonging is put forward. To analyze these factorsconcretly, for example, student’s gender、grade、left-behind middle school studentor not、the school type and so on. These factors are analyzed to explore thecharacteristics of the school belonging of middle school students and furthermoreto explore the formation mechanism. The main results of this study are as follow:(1) The middle school student belonging has6dimensions as follow: theteachers’ behavior、the personal relationship、the school involvement、the schooltype、the sense of honor for school and class、the school environment.(2) The research shows that:In teachers’ behavior, on the whole, it shows thatstudents in key middle school who’s sense of belonging is higher than ordinarymiddle school students; on school personal relationship, grils school belonging ishigher than boys school belonging, non-left-behind student’s school belonging ishigher than left-behind student; in school involvement, junior student schoolbelonging is higher than the high grades, grils school belonging is higher than boysschool belonging; in school type, students in key middle school and ordinarymiddle school is quite different, key middle school students’school belong ishigher than ordinary middle school, urban middle school students’s schoolbelonging is higher than rural middle school students; in the sense of honor for school and class, students who have excellent scores their school belonging ishigher than students who have bad grades; in school involvement, junior studentschool belonging is higher than the high grades, grils school belonging is higherthan boys school belonging.(3) The formation of middle school students’ school belonging is affected byteachers’ behavior、school personal relationship、school involvement.
