A Cultural Study On The Characters Of "Ye (页)" Radical In Shuowenjiezi

Shuowenjiezi is the first dictionary in Chinese history, and it is the firstwordbook applying radical scheduling system to analyze the character pattern. Takingthe overall92characters of "ye(页)" radical in Shuowenjiezi as research object, thisdissertation tries to construct a complete meaning system of " characters of "ye(页)"radical in Shuowenjiezi and demonstrate the cultural connotation in them by means ofanalyzing and contrast.The first part is an introduction to range of study, approaching means, meaningand historical study status of characters of "ye(页)" radical in Shuowenjiezi.The second part mainly introduces the general situation of characters of"ye(页)"radical in Shuowenjiezi from its words, the meaning system and the extinction andinheritance. When the meaning of those characters is concluded, the knowledge insemantic field is used.The third part mainly explains the cultural connotation from the understanding oflimbs and organs, aesthetic psychology ancient medicine, productivity level and otheraspects which it reflects.
