Study On Shape Structural Feature Of The Song Typeface

Song typeface and people’s daily lives are very closely linked. In newspapers,books、posters、television、computers and other forms of information dissemination,Song typeface is largely used to convey information. It conveys information content,while conveys the structure beauty itself. Because Song typeface has a long historyand the visual image is very popular, so many people often only pay attention to theinformation content it conveys, but ignore the visual image it delivers. With therelationship between the life and the design closer and closer, the type of font isincreasing rapidly, modeling novel diversity, and Song typeface as the mostcommonly used font, its modeling structure also need to innovative development withthe era of aesthetic and demand of read. Therefore, providing theoretical support forthe innovative development of the Song typeface through anglicizing of Songtypeface shape structural features is the main purpose of this paper.This paper mainly including the following four sections: The first part, mainlydiscusses the forming process of Song typeface and art connotation in the modelingstructure. Through collecting and arranging related historical materials, finding thegeneration condition and forming process of Song typeface, and point out that thecalligraphy art and wood carving knife technique’s influence on the formation ofmodeling structure.The second part used the development process of the Chinese society as the mainline to discuss modeling structure and style characteristics of Song typeface in eachperiod. Through historical background、modeling structure、style characteristics todiscuss, showing the development process of Song typeface modeling structure.The third part is mainly to analyze the visual presentation of Song typefacemodeling structure. Through the comparison of frequently-used Song typeface,combined with the physiological and psychological characteristics, I further analyzedvisual effect respectively from the stroke modeling and font structure of Songtypeface.The fourth part analyzes the development trend of Song typeface modelingstructure. Through analyzing the superiority and inferiority of Song typeface’s development、the demand of fonts and its own characteristic, I summarized thedevelopment trend of Song typeface modeling structure.Based on the study of four sections, the article made a relatively clearorganization of formation history、modeling structure and style characteristics of Songtypeface. And dig out the traditional art culture connotation which Song typefacemodeling structure contains. At the same time, the paper combined with thephysiological and psychological characteristics to analyze the visual effect of Songtypeface modeling structure, and summarized the trend of the development of Songtypeface modeling structure. I hope the results of this thesis can do a little for theinnovation of Song typeface and apply referential research method for the theoreticalstudy of the other font.
