On Some Translation Methods From English To Chinese

Abstract:The chapter is selected from the book about education research on children. During translating, some translating techniques are applied, such as functional shift, amplification and omission in word translation, and synthetic methods in sentence translation. By adopting embedding, reversing, cutting, etc. Some sentences are re-arranged and focus is placed on "functional equivalence" to achieve the goal of expressing the source text faithfully and smoothly.
