The21st century is the era of cultural consumption. The cultural consumption is a specialconsumption form which refers to the possession, digestion and development of cultural goodsand services. The most important feature that cultural consumption distinct from generalconsumption pattern is the consumption of the spiritual values inherent in the consume objects.Sustainability issues of cultural consumption are accompanied by many problems in thedevelopment process of cultural consumption in recent years: sensual consumption objectswhich stimulate excessively, campaign-style consumer trend with connotation of emptiness,hegemonic consumption threatens the internal and external balance, excessive use and waste ofresources and so on. As a systematic study object, the paper argues that the meaning of culturalconsumption sustainability can be briefly expressed as: it is a cultural consumption pattern withhealthy renewal in the spiritual sense and the cycle in physical sense. It mainly consists of twobasic dimensions: internal sustainable of the cultural consumption which means the sustainabledevelopment of consumption itself; external sustainable of cultural consumption, the sustainableprotection of the consumption environment. Cultural consumption sustainability needs to bedefined. In this paper, the problem involves the interaction mechanism between the scope of theconcept, mechanism between internal and external sustainability concept category, thesustainability of the areas with the context of cultural consumption mechanism of the practicaleffect of such factors to the overall logic diagram were presented, also pointed out that thesustainability of cultural consumption is mainly reflected in: consumer self-development theoverall size of the specific form of the specific cultural consumption can be achieved, andenhance the character of consumer goods, consumer civilization construct; reflected in whetherit causes excessive use of natural and cultural resources and even destruction.
