The Research Of Words In Yongle Da Dian’s Two Dramas

Nanxi is a form of drama with Nanqu singing in the period of Song and Yuan.The twodramas Huanmen Zidi Cuo Lishen and Xiao Sun Tu handed down are the only completeNanxi works today.They are valuable for the language reaserch of the Yuan Dynasty.The thesis reaserches the words of the two dramas from the two aspects.First,a comparative reaserch between the two dramas and Hanyu Da Cidian is done.Hanyu Da Cidian is the most authoritative Chinese words and phrases dictionary now,whichis unprecedented on the number of the received words,the accuracy of the interpretations andthe sufficiency of the book proofs.In order to investigate the absorption of Hanyu Da Cidianon the words of the two dramas,26words in Hanyu Da Cidian quote the two dramas as theonly book proof and43words in Hanyu Da Cidian quote the two dramas as the first bookproof are counted.However,due to subjective and objective reasons,the words’ book proofs inHanyu Da Cidian are later than the two dramas.Use the two dramas,count210words like thisto improve Hanyu Da Cidian and construct the history of Chinese vocabulary development.Second,a historical reaserch on the words of the two dramas is done.Explain the wordswhich are not included and proved with book proofs in Hanyu Da Cidian with the method ofcombining the traditional exegesis with the modern vocabulary learning and investigate theirhistorical sources.And then find the earliest sources of the other words in the two dramas byHanyu Da Cidian to investigate the sources of all words of the two dramas.The final step is tocount the percentage of the words in each period in all words of the two dramas.
