Interpretation has emerged in human history since people from different languagescommunicated with each other. It is nice work which aims at building up mutualunderstanding and strengthening relations between people. The interpreter helps both sidesof communication overcome obstacles in language so as to exchange their thoughts andunify their understanding. Therefore, it is said that the interpreter is a bridge betweenspeakers. With the fast social and economic development and globalization, interpretationis playing more important role in the development of the society than ever before.In order to solve problems in each stage of interpretation practice, improve the abilityof interpretation and better the practice, this paper is trying to take classroom interpretationas the research object, which the writer did during the educational seminars for developingcountries sponsored by Chinese Ministry of Commerce. The thesis is written in the form ofa reflective research report from the following three stages: preparation stage, on-siteinterpretation process, and evaluation of interpreting effect, mainly describing lessons,problems, mistakes and corresponding strategies adopted during this interpretation practice.According to certain strategies, methods, and techniques in the field of translation andinterpretation, the writer tends to find solutions to the problems and difficulties met duringthe practice process and draw lessons from it. It is hoped that this thesis could be offered asreference material for the following similar interpretation activities and be helpful forpeople in this field.
