Since ancient times. Aesthetics and translation have close relationship with each other. After the middle of the20th Century, translation aesthetics in modern China is going into blooming. Both ancient scholars and modern translators push the development of the history of Chinese translation aesthetics. Fu Lei advances that "gave more weight to likeness in spirit, than to that in form", Qian Zhongshu sets forth the criteria of transfiguration and Liu shicong elaborates the theory of artistic, flavor in literary translation based on Jin Yuelin’s "Flavor". And this theory is significant in both theory and prose practice.Prose is an important literary genre which has a history of several thousand years. However, the research on the translation of modern Chinese prose is far from enough. To produce the correspondent artistic effect in prose translation is important to the translation aesthetic subject. Meanwhile, this thesis attempts to analyze the realization of Liu Shicong’s translation idea in some pieces of modern lyric prose translated by Liu Shicong from a new perspective of words conversion.
