Parallel complex sentence is a kind of complex sentence which has higherfrequency of use, but has a higher error rate.So far all researches about parallelcomplex sentences are still relatively fragmented, and the description and analysis oferrors are not comprehensive enough. For that reason, we collect many linguistic dataon marked parallel complex sentence in the HSK dynamic corpus and nearly200,000words from foreign students’ compositions of Jilin University, and use them as thesources of error analysis.We comprehensively described and summarized the errortypes of marked parallel complex sentence,at the same time,we discussed the reasonsfor these errors, providing enlightenment for the current Chinese teaching. This paperis divided into seven chapters.The first chapter is the introduction, including the purpose and significance ofthe topic, the achievements and shortcomings of researches on parallel complexsentence in the fields of both Chinese and second language acquisition, the problemsthis article will be to solve, the research thinking, the research methods, and thesources of corpus.The main part of the article includes the second, third, fourth, fifth chapters.Based on collected corpus, through quantitative and qualitative analysis methods, wemake analysis and summaries about the errors of the main conjunction words ofparallel complex sentence, involving targeted reasons interspersed among them. It mainly covers missing words, adding unneeded words, using wrong words andputting words in wrong order and using wrong forms in the clauses, and soon.Meanwhile,we analyzed different reasons for different error types. Among this, wefocus on the mixture of conjunction words, make comparisons between similarconjunction words, figure out the specific causes of the mixture, providing highlytargeted suggestions for teaching.The sixth chapter is the conclusion. This section briefly describes the researchvalue and the unresolved problems.
