Study Of The Casual Complex Sentences In Taiping Jing

The study of Chinese complex sentences in middle period is the weakness of the Chinese grammar study. Just few papers have involved in it, and there is few systematic theories and monographs about it. As an important works in the early stage of middle period of chinese, Taiping Jing contains a number of features of the spoken language in Eastern Han Dynasty, and can reflect the usage then language well,so it is an very important and valuable works about the study of early stage in middle period of chinese. Therefore, this article is based on the theory of complex sentences put forward by Pro.Xing Fuyi to count,classify,and describe the causal complex sentences of Taiping Jing exhaustively.And make it compare with the representative works in different periods in order to provide some valuable materials for the study of complex sentences in middle period of chinese.This paper is divided into five parts: The first part is an introduction, and mainly introduces the conformation of Taiping Jing and some studies about it, elaborate the theory of complex sentences put forward by Pro.Xing Fuyi and show some methods and formulas in this paper. The second part has a detailed description for the causal complex sentences of Taiping Jing,and it can divide into five chapters which contain causational complex sentence, assuming complex sentence, conditional complex sentence, the purpose of complex sentences and the inferred complex sentences.And the third part has a description for the tightening sentences.The forth part makes a comparation between Taiping Jing, jin wen Shang Shu,Yan Shi Jia Xun and Dream of Red Chamber from the usage conjunction words. We find that causal complex sentences of Taiping Jing have integral types relatively, and it has a large number of conjunction words and diversified expressions.On the other hand, the usage of conjunction words are unstable and transitionary.We think that it is related to its anthor,the purpose of writing,the period and chinese polysyllabic.The fifth part sums up the features of the casual complex sentences in Taiping Jing and points the weaknesses of this paper and some follow-up research ideas.
