In this paper, on the basis of predecessors’ study, mainly from syntax, semantics,pragmatics three plane and combined with cognitive linguistics point of view of"yixiang" and "xianglai" are analyzed, and found that they have a lot in common, alsohas a lot of nuances, specific difference is as follows:First, this paper argues that "yixiang" is said in the past of time adverbs, saidfrom the past to a reference to the last moment of the time, said the is long, again andagain;"xianglai" said constant geomagnetic adverbs of time, say from the past at thereference moment, regardless of the reference point is in the past, now or in the future,said when the quantity also is long, and law, the tendency of habituation."yixiang,xianglai," said the state of the constancy of the characteristics, high repeatability, andthe present state of practices, habits."yixiang, xianglai," often in the static words saidin a static relationship, properties or the state of the continuation or maintain, can alsobe used in some dynamic sentence said in the dynamic behavior of the long-termsustained over and over again.Second, in terms of syntactic position, we concluded that "yixiang, xianglai,"typical syntactic position is located in the subject, predicate, before is unmarked;Before they can also be located in the subject, but according to our investigationbefore "xianglai" in the subject is more common than before "yixiang" in the subject;"yixiang, xianglai," can also be located in the position of the attributive, at this pointthey are difference between words;Third, in terms of syntactic characteristics, the composition of the co-occurrencewith time very little, and "yixiang" refers to in the past time, said the past long periodof time "... yi(zhi)hou" the co-occurrence, had little to do with time, word co-occurrence with fixed point of the adverbial cannot match. Suggestions to teachers, mainly through the way of drawing, therefore, let students understand thereference point of attention of the Windows open differently; To learners, main is toovercome negative transfer of mother tongue and passive learning attitude, etc.; Fortextbook writers, mainly pay attention to the word order and pragmatic aspects of thedifference between them.
