Drama is a broad and profound art form in China, is a gold in the Chinesetraditional culture. Yu opera is a kind of opera which is originated in China’s henanprovince, one of the five operas in China, China’s biggest regional opera. On May20,2006, approved by the state council, yu opera has been listed in the first nationalnonmaterial cultural heritage list. People in henan has deep feelings about drama, inthe undeveloped years, farmers invited the opera troupe to have a performance beforeand after the farming, pray for good, the theatre was once the only form ofentertainment of the farmers. Along with the development of economy, people’s livingconditions have greatly improved, to enrich the entertainment, people remain liketraditional theatre, festivals and temple fairs, celebrations, petitions, and so on, willinvited the opera troupe to have a performance.Now days，as one of the villagers’diverse leisure culture and entertainment activities, the theatre endowed with greatchanges and different meanings. It is not only a form of cultural entertainment butalso more linked with villagers’ folk beliefs, carrying heavy culture connotation,become the indispensable kind of folk culture in the village, woven into the lives ofthe villagers.This article selects the Z village in the north rural of henan province as example,on the basis of the original research found that drama in the Z village did not godownhill as like in the city, people still has high passion for opera. When festival,farming, celebration and so on, the villagers will invited the troupes to have aperformance, please play at the local has become an indispensable importantcomponent. Because please play in the Z village have an irreplaceable function, itmeets the needs of the people, make up for The Times of people’s beliefs, has beenclosely integrated with the village folk beliefs, become a part of the local folk culture.In the survey, the author experienced the please play activities in the village aboutfarming, funeral affairs, and the Spring Festival celebration, found that, please playactivities also changes along with the development of The Times. For instance, projection play, song and dance performances, the band and the folk dancingperformance are involved in drama activities, please play also exist some problems.Therefore, the author considers that along with the socialist new rural culturalconstruction, more attention must be focused on the reasonable guidance, to facilitatethe healthy development of rural culture.This article is divided into three parts to study the please play customs of the Zvillage:Part1:chapter1and chapter2.Relevant research results, research methods, keyconcepts, theoretical perspectives, natural situation of the Z village and theinheritance and changes of the please play customs situation since the reform andopening up are introduced in this part.Part2:chapter3and chapter4.It contains the main reason of the Z village pleaseplay are classified, feeling of the ritual participants based on the analysis of theresearch results, the inheritance and changes of the please play custom, please playshow customs and relationship between the village life and the possible problems inpractical level understanding.Part3:chapter5. This part has a theoretical interpretation to play pleasecustoms,by analyzed the reason of please play,summary the positive function of theplease play customs, and put forward feasible Suggestions in view of the problem.
