In recent years, domestic researchers have made a lot of research achievements inparenting style and mental health of junior middle school students, in these of the existingresearch rarely seen in self consistency and congruence factors of junior middle schoolstudents involved. So, this study selected this factor, self consistency and congruence, toresearch the function of parenting style in self consistency and congruence and mental healthof junior middle school students, as well as the relationship among parenting styles, selfconsistency and congruence and mental health of junior middle school students.This study’s testers are randomly selected the students of grade1,2and3,a juniormiddle school in Chongqing, a total of616students, and use a binder Egma Minnen avBardndosnauppforstran(EMBU), self consistency and congruence scale (SCCS), and themiddle school students’ mental health scale (MSSMHS) to test. This study analyzes thedifferences of the results of the test in parenting style, self consistency and congruence andmental health of junior middle school students, as well as conducts the correlation analysisbetween parenting style, self consistency and congruence and mental health level of juniormiddle school students. This research from the perspective of self consistency and congruence,discusses the influence mechanism of parenting style of the junior middle school students tomental health of junior middle school students. Draw the following conclusions:(1) Parenting style of the junior middle school students have significant difference ingenders, only and non-only students and the different cultural degree cultural degree ofparents. The specific performance is that fathers to boys showed more severe punishment, thatparents showed more tender warm affection and more excessive interference on only than onnon-only children and showed more severe punishment on non-only than on only children,that the parents of high-cultural level showed more positive tender warm affection, that theparents of low-cultural level showed more severe punishment and negative rejection, and thatthe parents of technical secondary school culture degree showed more excessive interferenceand excessive protection.(2) The self consistency and congruence of junior middle school students exists significant difference in grades. The degree of self consistency and congruence in grade1is higher thanthe students in grade2and grade3. Only and non-only children exist significant differences,only children above the non-only children. The class cadres and the non-class cadres existsignificant differences, the class cadres higher than those of the non-class cadres. If thecultural degree of parents is different, self consistency and congruence degree of juniormiddle school students also exist significant differences. If the parents have higher culturallevel, children’s self consistency and congruence degree relatively more good.(3) The mental health of junior middle school students exists significant difference ingrades, only and non-only children, parents divorced and parents cultural degree. The specificperformance is that only child’s mental health condition is better than non-only children, andthat the students’ mental health condition in grade1is better than grade2and grade3.Parents divorce significantly impact on mental health level of the children, and the mentalhealth level of junior middle school students of parents divorced is less than the non-divorce.The parents of high-cultural level showed more respect, understand and less severepunishment.The parents of low-cultural level showed more severe punishment.(4) The factors of parenting style and the factors and total score of the self consistency andcongruence of junior middle school students exsit remarkable correlation. Positive parentingstyle and the total score of the self consistency and congruence of junior middle schoolstudents exsit negatively correlated, namely: more positive parenting style, more selfconsistency and congruence of junior middle school students. Instead, the more negativeparenting style, the worse self consistency and congruence of junior middle school students.(5)Positive parenting style and the factors and total average score of mental health of juniormiddle school students exsit significant negative correlation, and most of negative parentingstyle and the factors and total average score of mental health of junior middle school studentsexsit significant positive correlation.(6) The factors and total score of the self consistency and congruence of junior middleschool students and the factors and total average score of mental health exsit remarkablecorrelation.(7) The self consistency and congruence of junior middle school students plays mediating effects between in parenting style and mental health, that is parenting style influences onmental health through self consistency and congruence.
