In recent years,domestic studies have made some achievements on parenting styleand mental health of junior high school students.While resilience variable was few mentioned.Therefore,by introducing resilience,this study is to explore the effect of resilience on parenting style to mental health of junior high school students.This study randomly selected 420 students in a junior high school in Shijiazhuang city from seventh-grade to ninth-grade as objects,using questionnaires including the s-EMBU-c,the Adolescent Psychological Resilience Scale(RSCA)and the Middle School Student Mental Health Scale(MSSMHS).After analyzing data,the following conclusions are obtained:(1)There are significant differences in the demographic variables of the parents’parenting styles of junior high school students.Boys’ perception of father refusing to deny are significantly higher than girls’;urban students’ perception of emotional warmth of parents are significantly higher than rural students’;the only child of their families perceive emotional warmth of parents are significantly higher than non-only children do;compared with eighth-grade students,the seventh-and ninth-grade students are much more perceive emotional warmth of parents.(2)There are significant differences in the demographic variables of the psychological resilience of junior high school students.Boys’ scores are significantly higher than girls’ in goal concentration,emotional control and psychological resilience.In the area of interpersonal assistance,urban students’ scores are significantly higher than rural students’.The total score of target control,family support and psychological resilience of only child is much higher than of non-only children.The psychological resilience of eighth-grade students is significantly lower than that of seventh-and ninth-grade.(3)There are significant differences in the demographic variables of the mental health of junior high school students.Girls’ scores are significantly higher than boys’in interpersonal tension and sensitivity,depression,anxiety,emotional imbalance and overall score.Rural students are significantly higher than urban students in bigotry and emotional imbalance.In terms of antagonism and maladjustment,eighth-grade students are significantly higher than the seventh.In terms of hostility,interpersonal tension and sensitivity,depression,anxiety,learning pressure and emotional imbalance,eighth-grade students are significantly higher than the seventh and ninth.At the mental health level,eighth-grade students are significantly higher than the seventh and ninth.(4)There is a significant positive correlation between parents’ emotional warmth and the psychological resilience,and a significantnegative correlation between parents’ refusal to deny,over interference and psychological resilience.There is a significant negative correlation between parents’ emotional warmth and mental health,and a significant positive correlation between parents’ refusal to deny,over interference and mental health.There is a significant negative correlation between psychological resilience and mental health.(5)Psychological resilience plays a mediating role between parenting style and mental health.Psychological resilience plays a partial mediating role between parents’refusal to deny,over interference and mental health,and fully mediating role between parents’ emotional warmth and mental health.
