The mental health of high school students has always been a major concern of researchers. This study selected parenting style and coping style as predicted variables of mental health. In order to investigate the relationship among parenting style,coping style and mental health, 330 1st grade senior middle school students were selected to complete the EMBU,coping style questionnaire and SCL-90, the results are as follows:(1)Boys suffer more from fathers'punishment, overinterference, denial, overprotection and mothers'overprotection than girls. Rural students get more parental preferences than urban students. The only-child suffer more from fathers'punishment, overinterference, rejection, denial, overprotection and mothers'punishment, and get less parental preferences.(2) Girls adopt the way to deal with the emotional outburst more often than boys. Different matriculate students'coping style does not exist significant differences.The only-child get significantly higher marks in seeking help dimension.(3)Girls'marks in the terrorist factors were significantly higher than boys. Different matriculate students'mental health does not exist significant differences. Singleton or not does not affect students'mental health.(4) Students'mental health is directly affected by help-seeking, patience, emotional outburst, fantasy deny and mothers'overprotection. Mothers'overprotection through emotional outburst and fantasy deny indirectly affects mental health. Mothers'deny and help-seeking through patience indirectly impact mental health. Parents'understanding through help-seeking indirectly affects mental health.
