Migrant children as a special group in the modern society,variety of psychologicalproblems emerges in the process of the urbanization. Among them, loneliness is the mostcommon one. Studies have found that coping style and loneliness are closely related. In orderto explore the present situations and their relations, on the foundations of previous studies,there are611higher elementary students from Shijiazhuang(365migrant children) who hasbeen tested by Coping Styles in Collision Questionnaire and Children Loneliness Scale in thisresearch. After analysis of the questionnaire,it concludes as follows:1.Migrant children and non-migrant children have significant differences in problemsolution and illusion. While it has not significant difference in appeal, attacking and escape.Migrant children and non-migrant children are significant difference in loneliness.2. The commonly used coping styles in collision of migrant children as follows: problemsolution, appeal, escape, illusion and attacking.The appeal of migrant children is significantly difference in gender, class leadership,singleton or not, class leadership and academic achievement.The problem solution of migrant children is significantly difference in gender, classleadership and academic achievement. while it has not significant difference in singleton ornot.The attacking of migrant children is significantly difference in gender, singleton or notand academic achievement. while it has not significant difference in class leadership.The illusion of migrant children is significantly difference in singleton or not andacademic achievement. while it has not significant difference in gender and class leadership.The escape of migrant children is significantly difference in academic achievement.while it has not significant difference in gender, class leadership and singleton or not.3.The loneliness of migrant children is significantly difference in class leadership andacademic achievement. while it has not significant difference in gender and singleton or not.Furthermore, the gender, singleton or not and class leadership have a highly interaction onloneliness.4. The migrant children’s coping styles in collision and loneliness significant related. Specifically, there is a significant negative correlation among loneliness, appeal and problemsolution; there is a significant correlation among loneliness, escape, illusion and attacking.5.The coping styles in collision and its some factors (appeal,problem solution,escape)can speculate the migrant children’s loneliness. Specifically, appeal and problemsolution can negatively predict loneliness; escape can positively predict loneliness.
