A Study Of The Influence Factors Of Inner Constraint On The Common People

Objective:With the further development of the reform, our country has entered a new period with rising social contradictions, the non-rational mentality of the people appears gradually, the social unrest elements are also increasing. The effect of constrainting behavior is limited through the regime, law, discipline and so on, and we must rely on the role of inner constraint. Therefore, this study regards influence factors of inner constraint as the object. Inner constraint is an inner strength of constrainting behaviour toward good by both group instinct and acquired socialization. Researching its influence factors has practical and theoretical significance in promoting the people mentality to balance, controlling the behavior automaticly, improving the quality of life and building a socialist harmonious society.Methods:This study investigats the inner constraint and its influence factors of the634people in jiangxi province with the questionnaire designed by the research group of inner constraint’s cultivation mechanism, and surveys its influence factors by interviewing the43participants including college students, teachers and staff in Nanchang city.Results:Firstly, the designed inner constraint questionnaire has five dimensions including group cognitive, friendship, society caring, temptation resisting and impulses inhibitory, and it has good reliability and validity. Secondly, the inner constraint of the common people has an above average level, The average score of each dimension is as follows:friendship> group cognitive> impulses inhibitory> temptation resisting> society caring. Thirdly, gender, political affiliation, only-child or not, marital status, age, work unit, the education level and family income have significant influence on the inner constraint. Among them, the female’s group cognitive and temptation resisting are significantly higher than the male; Party members’ group cognitive, friendship, society caring and impulses inhibitory are significantly higher than the non-party people; Group cognitive, friendship, society caring and the inner constraint appear to increase with age; The inner constraint of the crowd in the army, party and government organs, enterprises and institutions are significantly higher than the farmers, college students and high school students; The group cognitive, friendship, impulses inhibitory of the crowd with Specialized and undergraduate degree are significantly higher than the crowd under middle school.The study shows that inner constraint is affected by external factors and internal factors together. The external factors are mainly for the traditional culture, social core values, family education mode, the family economic conditions, school education, peer group, etc. The internal factors are mainly for individual cognition, emotion and the will. Based on this, the study puts forward the following countermeasures to improve internal constraint.they are extending the public understanding to the group through the family, the school and the society’s joint efforts, strengthening and training people’s inner constraint of good tendency through the good rational cognition, positive emotional experience and strong will.
