With the development of society, increased competition, this special group of deaf-mute students live under the enormous pressure of the various aspects, their physical and mental he alth should arouse psychologists’concern. This special group of people faces their own self-e steem as well as pressure from society. They need psychologists to explore how to properly s eek and use social support, and how to achieve greater subjective well-being. This study used a combination of methods of literature review and questionnaire survey, to explore the relatio nship between social support and subjective well-being.This study conducted a questionnaire survey among52deaf-mute middle school student s and52normal middle school students. SPSS17.0was used on the difference test and correla tion analysis on the data to explore the relationship between social support and subjective wel1-being.The following conclusions were found from this study:1. There are significant differences in the overall level of social support, objective suppo rt, and subjective support between deaf-mute middle school students and normal middle scho ol students.2. It reveals that there are significant differences in the negative affect of subjective well-being and life satisfaction between deaf-mute middle school students and normal students. T here are no significant differences in positive affect of subjective well-being, learning satisfac tion and body satisfaction.3. The level of social support and subjective well-being were significantly correlated for deaf-mute middle school students. Utilization of social support and positive affect of subjecti ve well-being have significant positive correlation, and significant negative correlation has be en found between objective support, subjective support and negative affect of subjective well-being.
