Resilience is an important factor to measure the mental health. At the present stage,under thebackground of highly attention on resilience of college students and parent-absent children,this studypointed to the special group of deaf-mute students in junior high school.The research selected both insideand outside protective factors of resilience-social support and locus of control and discussed therelationship among the three factors.Then researcher put forward several suggestions on improving thedeaf-mute students’ resilience according to the research results, riched theoretical content of mental healtheducation of specific groups.In this research,85deaf-mute students and127normal students in junior high school,who are living inXinxiang and Kaifeng city Henan province,were taken as the object. Questionnaire Study was used with<Resilience Scale for Chinese Adolescents><Perceived Social Support Scale><Internality,PowerfulOthers,and Chance Research Scale>. Analyzed the the characteristics of resilience,social support and locusof control of deaf-mute students. Then discussed the relationship among resilience,social support and locusof control of deaf-mute students.The following conclusions were found from this study:First, the resilience,social support and locus of control of deaf-mute students in junior high school areoverall in good condition.There are significant differences in the overall level of resilience and its fivedimensions, in the overall level of social support and its family support dimension and internality betweendeaf-mute students and normal students.Secondly, in terms of gender, there are no significant differences in resilience, significant differencesin social support and its two dimensions and Internality of deaf-mute students in junior high school. Interms of origin of student,there are significant differences in resilience and its four dimensions betweendeaf-mute students in Xinxiang city and Kaifeng city, there are no significant differences in social support,there are significant differences in powerful others and chance. Thirdly, resilience of deaf-mute students in junior high school had significantly positive correlationwith social support and its every dimensions; resilience had significantly positive correlation withinternality; resilience had significantly negative correlation with chance.Fourthly,family support and internality had positive prediction on the resilience of deaf-mute studentsin junior high school significantly;powerful others had significantly negative prediction on the resilience ofdeaf-mute students in junior high school significantly.Lastly, there are significant differences both in social support and locus of control between deaf-mutestudents in junior high school high on resilience and low on resilience.
