This thesis is mainly based on the translation and introspection of Chinese Traditional Philosophical Traits and National Spirits (by Hu Haibo, a professor in Northeast Normal University), which fully embodies both theoretical value and practical value. It shows some translation strategies and effective ways that can make a good translation about Chinese masterpieces and traditional cultural versions in order that cultural transmission and preservation could be achieved. Chinese culture is broad and profound with a long history, so the foremost goal of this thesis is to inherit Chinese culture via translation, and to introduce it into the world; it can also provide a mirror for more translation tasks in the future as well. To keep the cultural trait of the original source, it also talks about some effective approaches and fine strategies.Except the introduction and conclusion, this thesis mainly has three parts. Among them, the widest arguments are the choice of "foreignization" and "domestication", the way to translate unique Chinese local words and cultural default and supplement. The author believes that when doing the translation of Chinese masterpieces,"foreignization" is a better way to promote across-culture. The China English has also been introduced in an innovation. For different cultural backgrounds, it is a fine way to adopt cultural supplement method. To some extent, it will stimulate more and more translators to join into the group of the translation about Chinese masterpieces, which can make a great contribution to the transmission of Chinese culture.
