Research On Historians’ Literary Concept In Early Tang Dynasty

The historians’ literature concept of the Early Tang is an important part of theliterary history of the Tang Dynasty, it not only summarize the theory of literaturebefore systematically, but also point in the right direction and laid a solid foundationfor the literary creation of the future generations. Therefore, from this sense, it notonly has high literature value, also has practical significance, it is very rare. Theobject of study in this paper is the literature concept of the Early Tang historians.According to four different areas, the relationship of the Historiographers’ Instituteand the eight official history books, the Early Tang historians’ view of literature on theformer literary ideological criticism and inheritance, the core content of the EarlyTang historians’ view of literature (including Tang Taizong’s literature thought) andthe historians’ practice of literature creation. Through the four aspects mentionedabove, the author tries to describe the general situation of the Historiographers’Institute in the Early Tang Dynasty, trace back the origin of the literature concept ofthe historians of the Early Tang, discuss the core content of the historians’ literatureconcept of the Early Tang, and on this basis, tries to analyze the literature works of thehistorians.This paper consists of five chapters:The first chapter describes the general situation of the Historiographers’ Instituteand the eight official history books of the early Tang, and then combs the setting upand the evolution of the Historiographers’ Institute, finally discusses the relationshipof them and gives a brief introduction of the eight official history books.The second chapter traces back to the source of the literature concept of the EarlyTang historians, and discusses the influence of the literature policy and literaturevalues of the Northern and Southern Dynasties and the Sui Dynasty.The third chapter focuses on the literature concept of Tang Taizong and itsinfluence on the Historians of the Early Tang.The fourth chapter focuses on the literature concept of the main authors of theeight official history books of the Early Tang-Wei Zheng, Linghu Defen, Li Baiyaoand Yao Silian.In the fifth chapter, the author attempts to investigate the literature creation of thehistorians of the Early Tang by a detailed analysis on the poetry works of Li Baiyao,and a brief analysis on the poetry works of Wei Zheng and Linghu Defen...
