It is known to all that preposition mark in Modern Chinese are evolved from theancient Chinese verb. This evolution took a long process. The article studied thederivative, generalization, weakening or even virtual process of the word “lian” fromthe original meaning of the word “lian” and to further explore semantic and syntacticchanges in the structure to promote the generation of the appropriate syntacticenvironment, and ultimately even the word “lian” is virtual into syntactic markers forthe significant meaning.The article also discusses sentence structure mechanism ofthe “lian”,reveals motivation of the “lian” to be sentence marked, and analysisexpression function of the “lian”.Using the theories and methods of scene semanticsto explain the word “lian” comprehensive description and analysis with an attempt toelaborate the sentence semantics in different contexts.Through the above analysis anddiscussion,we have a research and propose a solution teaching method of the word“lian” in the Chinese teaching as a Foreign Language.The innovation of this paper: the first one is to discuss the "lian" how to developthe preposition mark further with the theory of the word "lian" virtual history, thevirtual mechanism and motivation and summarize based on a large number ofcorpus.The second one, the article discusses and analyses scene semanticrepresentation of the word “lian” in the modern Chinese,reflecting this sentencefeatures and practical significance.The third one, in the teaching Chinese as a ForeignLanguage,we try to analysis at different stages, toward to different students to take aphased, step-by-step method to teach the typical Chinese “lian” words and atypicalChinese “lian” words.
