The chief research scope of the thesis lies in both the writing of the historic data and the current research for Chinese music education history, the analysis of current research on monograph for Chinese music education as well as the research trends and concerns on the thesis research for Chinese music education history.This article argues that the followings should be included when discussing about the writing of the historic data and the current research for Chinese music education history:①The historical data collection is well done perfectly, and it’s authentic.②The style of the compiling is complete and the contents are arranged rationally, with a certain coverage③Strong practicability is provided, which makes it adequate for different levels of teaching and study. It provides certain reference for music teaching and research in regular schools and normal colleges and schools at different levels. The existing historical data offers a systematic and strong foundation for the teachers and researchers who study the Chinese music education.The thesis also maintains that, on the whole, the analysis of current research on monograph for Chinese music education possesses the characteristics of the followings:①The historical periods are divided correctly and it has a clear venation. The frame construction is rigorous with a well-regulated orderliness. Those above all show the developmental contents and characteristics in different historic periods.②Deriving from extensive materials, the historic data is abundant.③It has a rich details and prominent key.④It has paid attention to the time background of music education and analysed the traits of music education in history under specified conditions.⑤It insists on the combination of the theory and history as well as the principle of which the arguments come from the historic data, which contributes to restores historical truth to some extent.The paper holds that, the research on articles for Chinese music education history reflects the current development in the field to some degrees, Since1970s, the research scope of articles for ancient Chinese music education history has been expanding, in which the system and the thoughts of ancient music education are concerned about with focus intensively. Some suspense still exists. For instance, the definition of the core concepts hasn’t been obscure. The unbalance of the time interval and the subject categories for the research is objective existence. The factors above-mentioned as well as the repeat of some selection of subject impact the overall quality and level of the research.Six pieces of conclusion can be drawn as the trend of the articles research on modern and current Chinese music education history:①The academic consciousness is strengthened and the study has been expanded.②To value the monographic study on music education characters, groups and their thoughts.③The research on the history of the music education system in schools has been expanded and deepened constantly.④The research on music education reform in new period has got attention.⑤Remarkable improvement has turned out in the study on the history of music education methods and teaching materials.⑥Regional music education history is concerned gradually. Nevertheless, the weak points should not be ignored:①The study on the reform and development in music education since the new period is insufficient.②Social music education, communication of music education both Chinese and foreign haven’t been valued adequately. Neither has the study on education history of the comparative music.③The connection of theory and practice should be further strengthened.
