Stuties On Fan Fiction Communication

Fan fictions are created on line on the base of original works such as comics, animations, fictions, films and television shows. The authors of fan fictions are young people like middle or high school students, undergraduate, or young employees. In fan fictions, there will be the same people, scene or story lines as the original works.In the communication progress, there will be fanfic authors, the channels, fanfics, readers and their evaluation, the ideas exchanging between authors and readers. The famous scholar Lasswell thought that there were five basic elements in communication, including Who, Says what, In which channel, To whom and With what effect. On the basis of Lasswell’s theory, this thesis will try to explore the elements in fanfic communication, their characteristics in the communication process, and sum up the communication values of fanfic.This thesis selects8samples of the fan fictions about "HONGLOUMENG", all of these samples are from Jinjiang Literature website. In this research, text analysis, case analysis, documentary research, participant observation method will be used when analyzing fanfics. After introducing fanfic definition, classification, history development, research status, we’ll discuss about the communication process of fanfics and the characteristics of each element. And hope this thesis could provide a new perspective for network fanfic studies of China’s mainland. More and more people will know about this kind of network literature, to promote its development toward a more healthy, energetic direction.
