A Translation Project Report For Renaissance Social Structure And Literary Movement In Britain

This translation project is composed of two parts. In the first part,“Socialstructure” in Chapter1“Historical, Cultural and intellectual context” and “LiteraryMovements” in Chapter2“Literature in the Renaissance” of Renaissance andLiterature and Culture by Lisa Hopkins and Matthew Steggle are translated intoChinese. In the second part, a translation report is written based on the translationprocess.The project report consists of4chapters. The first chapter is the introduction ofthe translation project, including its background, purpose and significance. Thesecond chapter contains the introduction of the background of source text, the maincontent and analysis of source text. In the third chapter, the difficulties met, thepreparations done and the translation strategies adopted are presented in accordancewith the functional equivalence theory. The forth chapter concludes the experience,lessons and unsolved problems in the translation process.
