The Research On The Decorative Patterns Of Han Lacquer Applied In Painted Decorations Design

Lacquer as the daily utensils in life has a long history. China was the first country which used the lacquer in the world,and Han lacquer plays a decisive role in the history of lacquer.Studying decorative patterns of Han lacquer has great significance for modern designers to re-cognize of traditional crafts and decorative elements and absorb it to guide modern design.Han lacquer decorative patterns theme were very plentiful, and Han lacquer decorative patterns with abstract expressionism, unified change, balanced rhythm and imagery vivid aesthetic characteristics. The way of combination is varied, including single pattern, suitable pattern, continuous pattern and integrated pattern. In this paper, through literature research, image research, survey analysis, practice and so on research methods, basis on re-research and combine with several ways of Han lacquer decorative patterns in the use of modern design, and found that the typical representative significance of the patterns and image which reflect the essence of traditional culture, we can directly use them. Designers can get inspiration from the Han Dynasty lacquer decorative patterns, and combine them with personal preferences and design decorative patterns freely. As for those decorative patterns with complex structures, multitudinousness, not suited for modern design and aesthetic requirements, the proper way is to simplify and deform to get new patterns which not only fit for the laws of aesthetic, but also have new images. Designers can use the way which is breaking up then reconstruction deal with those meaningful decorative patterns.After studying the application rules from the Han Dynasty lacquer decorative patterns used in modern designs, I try to employ Han lacquer decorative patterns into the decoration of lacquered artefacts. And found its design rules during in the practice: Lacquer decorations’decorative patterns design has a certain regularity. The main painting decorative patterns of lacquer painting can select more complex animal or plant patterns, and use separate patterns for decoration; bracelets, bowls, paperweights and so on rules trinkets, the decorative patterns should be somewhat simple; other irregular small accessories, such as Bob, earrings can redesign on the basis of other patterns by simplified variation. It enriches the research of the lacquer decorative patterns, and provides references for modern designers. It is also a meaningful and effective attempt to heritage Han lacquer decorative patterns in modern designs.
