Nowadays voice recognition technology, cloud technology and improvement ofcorpus provide a great convenience for translation. Therefore, computer-aidedtranslation came into being and achieved great success in some fields. However, theexisting computer-aided translating technology is applied only to assist writtentranslating. The computer tools for aiding interpretation are yet to be developed. Theauthor reckons that by the technology of voice recognition and machine translation, acomputer can provide certain help for interpretation. To prove this assumption, theauthor develops a computer-aided interpretation simulation system. The author designs four experiments with speech recognition accuracy rate, thescreen display delay, the screen display language, the contents of screen displays asfour variables respectively. The author recorded and analyzed the performances ofinterpreters under simulation system in different variable conditions to verify thefeasibility and effects of computer-aided interpretation. By analyzing the experimentalresults, the author gives suggestions for the designing of future computer assistedinterpretation system.
