Argot, which was named as "Yin" in the earliest times, was popular in the palace and folk in the pre-Qin and the Han Dynasty era. And it was recorded as a text-form. In addition to Liu Xie’s "Wenxindiaolong·Xieyin", the systematic study of argot from the view of literature is rare. However, the pre-Qin and the Han era argot has important influence on Poetry, Prose, Han Fu, and other traditional literary forms. The object of this paper is the pre-Qin and the Han era argot text. The paper use the methods of textual reading, text classification, intertextual comparison to investigate the argot under the ancient times background and literary environment. The paper consists of three chapters. The first chapter includes two parts. The former hackles the concept of pre-Qin and the Han era argot, and investigates the factors of argot occurrence. The latter studies the textual argot and inspects the research on argot of "Wenxindiaolong·Xieyin". This paper argues that "argot" experienced "Yinyu"(Language form),"Yinxi" or "Souci"(Behavior),"Yinshu"(Text form), and finally became a complex concept.According to the different external form, the second chapter classifies the existing Argot Poetry and Prose into three categories:Argot Prose, Argot Poetry, Argot Fu. And this chapter summarizes the basic characteristics and developments of each category. On this basis, it investigates the three texual functions of Argot Poetry and Prose:as the templates of persuasion, the method of shaping character, and the means of expressing emotion or ideology. The third chapter respectively analyzes the relations between argot and Poetry, Prose, Hanfu in the pre-Qin and the Han era. In the pre-Qin era, the style of using poetry is similar with speaking argot. The argot has common points in the way of thinking with poetic expression means such as Bi Xing and Jituo. The traditional culture such as showing wills by poems and showing images for expounding meanings has influence on argot and fable. Therefore, the argot and fable have many similarities. But they also have differences. Because Tsunzi’s "A Piece of Fu" is the earlist works named by "Fu", the pre-Qin argot is the source of Han Fu. The authors of Han Fu are also affected by the argot.
