| Educated youth novels——one special literary themes of China. Someone has ever summedup three themes of educated youth novels: No regrets for youth, wasting time, getting glory aftersufferings. Many critics attributed the teeming of educated youth memoirs to that there are manyeducated youths who are dissatisfied with the distortion of the educated youth life in the literatureof educated youth. Han Dong think that the reason why the current literary of educated youth isfloating on the surface is not because the educated youth life was not complicated or poignantenough, but because the current literary and art are too simple and naive. It may be because thewriters have "Educated youth complex", with strong sense of responsibility and lacking of senseof distance, so they seem to be recording history, but not to create the literal works. For anotherreason, it may be because of some educated youth writer’s lack of basic cultural qualities. In thispaper, the writer thinks that there may be errors when the old educated youth wrote the memoirs.The serious and high-quality works may reflect the educated youth life more authentically, but infact, there is very little authoritative full-length literature. In Han Dong’s educated youth novels,he broke the thinking set and imaginative concepts and tried to understand and reconstruct theeducated youth memories from the point of non-educated youth to realize his aesthetic ideal thatliterary should provide the later generations more complex polysemy and more deep vast imaginesand provide us another possibility of knowing this phase of history much better.
