The educated youth literature of the new century is the growth stage in the history of educated youth literature.In the perspective of the overall research,this paper takes the educated youth novels in the traditional sense as the reference,and takes the educated youth novels since the new century as the research object.Then,through the analysis of the novel,the author tries to explore the uniqueness of the educated youth narration in the novel since the new century.As the narrative of educated youth in the new century takes time as the criterion of division,the paper explores the creative changes in the new century's literature from the diachronic perspective,and also studies the artistic characteristics of the new century's educated youth novels in the aspects of synchronicity,character,and narrative strategy from the synchronic perspective.The article is divided into three chapters:In the first chapter,the author sorts the polysemy spirit connotation of the educated youth narrative since the new century.By summing up the traditional characteristics of educated youth narrative in different periods since the 1950 s,it is concluded that the educated youth narrative in the new century presents a diversified creative trend,which could be mainly manifested in three writing modes.The main spiritual connotation of educated youth narrative in the new century lies in two aspects: disenchantment and examination of history,reflection and manifestation of human nature.In the second chapter,the author mainly discusses the writer's portrayal of different characters in the educated youth narration of novels since the new century.Through the analysis of the advanced educated youth,the other educated youth and the bottom characters,this paper compares the characteristics of these three characters in the traditional educated youth novels,and explores the originality of the other characters in the new era.In the third chapter,the author further studies the narrative strategies of educated youth in novels since the new century.Combining with the narratology theory and theory of postmodernism,this paper analyzes the characteristics and wisdom of the narrative of educated youth in novels since the new century from three aspects: the diversification of narrative perspectives,the daily nature of narrative content,the chaos and disorder of narrative mode.The conclusion briefly points out the literary value and limitation of the educated youth narrative in the novel since the new century.
