During the Anti-Japanese War, in order to commemorate the Marco Polo Bridge incident, the national government has carried out a series of commemorative activities which were totally eight times during the War, and each lasted about a month. For the July7th memorial activity, the national government quickly introduced relevant policies to guarantee the activity to go on wheels. It mainly experienced two stages in the Anti-Japanese War for the July7th memorial activity, that were the stage of taking self-reliance and hard struggle as the theme and the stage of conjoining with Allies and string for victory.The activity conducted in many different ways, such as holding a memorial meeting, publishing articles, comforting the leader with email, contributing and consoling the Anti-Japanese soldiers and their families and so on. These activities also had their characteristics which were the flexible and changeable ways and the wide range that extended to not only the domestic and overseas areas but also towns in the rear area and cities in the occupied area. Also it had an extensive anticipating body, such as political group, art group, soldier group, overseas Chinese and the underlying grassroots group and so on. While each group had its own character because of their different focus.As the propaganda and mobilization activity, it also played an important social function. Under the help of the memorial activity, the national government inspired the morale and mobilized the whole nation to take part in the Anti-Japanese War. It strengthened the national government authority as well to conduct political competition and boycotted the Wang puppet government. What’s more, it also expanded China’s international influence and help China get far-ranging support and assistance.
