Along with social progress and the continuous development of the power industry,the real-time and stable operation of the relay protection monitoring platform is theincreasing influence of social and economic, This is a higher demand on protectionmonitoring platform system performance and stability. But the traditional softwaresystem framework of relay protection monitoring platform is based on thenon-symmetric dual-CPU platform, in this framework, the DSP core runs the dataprocessing system, the other one ARM core runs the fault diagnosis and thecommunication work. The mononuclear serial data processing mode defects of this kindframework will be the bottleneck of improving the speed of data processing, at the sametime, the processing performance of this system is affected by the communicationbetween cores, which leads to the traditional protection monitoring platform softwaresystem framework is unable to meet the increasingly high real-time requirements in thisfield. Therefore, we can design and improve a new software system framework basedon the symmetric dual-DSP platform to resolve the defects in framework of thistraditional system.In order to achieve the purpose of designing and implementing a new frameworkof the monitoring platform system base on symmetric dual-DSP core, this paper selectsADI’s ADSP-BF561processor as a development hardware platform and raises a designidea which is a design mode of hardware/software co-design and task-level flow lineparallel data processing. First we will transplant embedded real-time multi-coreoperating system which named aCoral on the platform of the ADSP-BF561, then designand develop application-specific scheduling and communication mechanisms and a newscheduling framework of parallel processing and task-stage flow line, all of the abovework bases on the aCoral which is independent researched and developed embeddedreal-time multi-core operating system and ADSP-BF561symmetric dual-DSP corehardware platform, thus we develop a new type software system framework ofprotection monitoring platform, and focus on the concrete realizationof the function which relates to the operating system, multi-core mechanism. The software system framework has been testified to have more excellent performance inspecific application field. Because of the new software system framework is based onthe characteristics of symmetric dual-DSP core hardware platform and embeddedreal-time multi-core operating system aCoral, this new software system frameworkwill have more broad application prospects in the maturing parallel algorithms of thedigital signal processing field.
