Through30years of computerization development, the technology of microcomputer relay protection has been widely applied in Chinese electric power system. But in most circumstances, the functions of software in microcomputer relay protection equipment are mostly realized by the means of coding. Now, software customization adjusting with different requirements and occasions become a bottleneck of large-scale engineering application of the relay protection equipment. Based on PLC technology that widely used in industrial control, this thesis aims to design and develop a platform of logic configuration set, and apply to the protection equipment development, in order to replace the manually coding project customization mode in the virtue of visual logic configuration mode. Consequently, improving the engineering adaptability of relay protection equipment could be achieved.Firstly, based on the analysis on the characteristics of the relay protection business, it puts forward modeling based relay protection business to achieve the function of protection software by configuration way, and reusing the protection function module. Then, in the view of the aspect of self-description of the allocation of resources, realization of the configuration, compiler and running in real-time, etc., it makes a further discussion on implementing the logical configuration platform for relay protection equipment’s development. Thirdly, these innovative technologies combined with the object-oriented configuration data storage and compiler, and the logic code files by the form of binary continuous data stream, have been proposed and implemented in the industry.Shortly, the application logic configuration technology designed in this thesis have been realized to develop software of relay protection device, by the ways of visual configuration for relay protection products scale engineering applications which bring security and convenience for Smart Substation Relay Protection. Moreover, some related project have implemented this relay protection logic configuration software platform, and facilitated the cross platform cross compiler logic engine, to finally obtain the actual application of the products in relay protection device. As the project manager and engineer, the author focus on implementation of compilation, engine and the simulation run configuration logic.
