Virtual Battlefield Real-time Roaming Based On Vr Technology And Infrared Simulation Research

This thesis did some research on infrared simulation of tank track, that realized the dynamic simulation of tank track temperature changing with the tank speed, also developed Calculation model of temperature field of a tank target. Finally, the thesis generates tank track’s infrared image, considering the effect of atmosphere on infrared radiation attenuation and meteorological conditions.The thesis designed a real-time roaming system of virtual battlefield, to achieve a variety of movement of tanks and real-time change tank motion path and other functions, can be used for individual combat ability and training.This paper complete design of real-time roaming and infrared simulation system by using the MultiGen_Paradigm company’s Vega series software. Firstly, I complete the modeling of target and scene by using3D modeling software Creator. Secondly, This paper gives a detailed analysis of the numerical calculation of tank track temperature field, set up the calculating model of tank track temperature variation theory. Finally, according to custom particle system, this paper designed the tank firing effects. On the basis of the two development of Vega API, this paper realized temperature field simulation of tank track and roaming path dynamic control. Then, Sensor Vision and Sensor Works module adds sensor view and visual effects for simulation. Finally, to achieve the dynamic control of roam path, the infrared simulation system of tank track temperature changing with tank velocity.On the battlefield, it is very critical in long distance or at night to detect military target.Radiation brightness of the system to detect the tank treads, can roughly judge the motion state of tanks, such as static, fault or normal operation. The system provides a new model for virtual battlefield combat training, which trained combat capability and detection capability of soldiers, so the system can improve the level of military training.
