In today’s era of economic globalization, the increasingly fiercecompetition in the market, our country’s mechanical and electrical products, notonly have to bear the fierce competition in the domestic market, more to face theonslaught of foreign products. Increased competition among manufacturingenterprises as well as the living space narrow, makes the enterprise mustconstantly improve the product innovation ability, improve the degree ofcustomization, shorten the design cycle time and again at the same time toensure the quality, reduce costs, and improve after-sales service. So can shortenproduct development time becoming the key factor of enterprise in marketcompetition to win. However, in the traditional sense of the productdevelopment process is mostly depend on the developer’s own experience,through reading, consult relevant books, especially for the similar design ofsimilar products, the repeat count, modeling, etc. A lot of work, all of theseseriously affect the product design efficiency and quality. In many mechanicaltransmission device, speed reducer is most widely applied, the traditional CADsystem has been difficult to meet the needs of design and production, itscomplex and similar structure to add to the cumbersome and repetitiveproduction process. So, only to the CAD system and design personnel intoempirical knowledge and to implement the intelligent of the gear reducer design,that enterprises realize the rapid design of the best solutions.In this paper in a secondary cone-cylinder gear reducer as an example.Study cone-cylinder gear reducer based on Pro/E parameterized systemsdevelopment methods, build reducer parameterization design system, main partsand the reducer casing structure optimization.First, the Pro/E in the method of secondary development of Pro/Toolkittools, including header files and information file writing, create the Pro/Toolkitmenu, the UI dialog box, as well as the application registration operation, etc., are the primary parts to build product and the basic condition of parametricdesign.Second, using Pro/EDE parameterized modeling technology to establish themain components of the three-dimensional model template; To set up a gearreducer parameterization design system, including basic design and reliabilitydesign module, realizes the secondary cone gear basic design of cylindrical gearreducer, gear strength, reliability and checking module generates parametricmodel of main parts.Finally, enclosure structure optimization are discussed. According to theactual working situation, using the ANSYS software to reducer box, staticsanalysis and structure optimization, improvement of box structure.This paper studies the Pro/E parameterized system development designmethod is practical for the other products can also be applied in the designprocess; Gear reducer parameterization design system development method, andthe application of structure optimization method for improving speed reducerdesign quality and efficiency has a certain significance.
