Objective:Through systematic observation, comparative analysis of traditional Chinese medicine to maintain the treatment of patients with advanced colorectal cancer progression-free survival time, immune function, and the patients’quality of life, evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine to maintain treatment efficacy in patients with advanced colorectal cancer and application advantages; maintenance therapy with Xeloda and correlation analysis, exploring Chinese medicine to maintain efficacy-related factors, so as maintenance therapy in patients with advanced colorectal cancer Chinese medicine application provides clinical research evidence. Methods:Clinical data for this study from the Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Wangjing Hospital oncology ward and outpatient control condition after chemotherapy (CR/PR/SD), in accordance with the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria, and met the study criteria, patients maintained in accordance with the application of different maintenance treatment Chinese medicine into TCM group and Xeloda group, by way of the prospective study recorded information and treatment, and patients were followed by patients with disease-free survival time (PFS) immune function, and quality of life (syndrome score, Karnofsky score) co-evaluation of traditional Chinese medicine to maintain treatment efficacy, and related factors. Results:The study included a total of120cases of eligible patients,60cases of Chinese Medicines,Xe1oda60patients. Baseline data study compared two groups of patients regardless of gender,age,tumor1ocation,histological type, degree of differentiation, metastatic sites, whether surgery, into the period and Karnofsky maintenance therapy, there was no significant difference between the two groups comparable.By analyzing the end of the study found that the TCM group’s median PFS was5.4months,the Xeloda group median PFS was2months,two groups with a statistically significant difference(P=0.021<0.05) difference compared;in immune functional improvement, the Chinese Medicines NK cellsand CD4/CD8ratio i ncreased (P<0.05) than those in the same group before treatment, after treatment the Xeloda group before and after treatment showed no significant difference between Chinese medicine treatment than Hilo up to group the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05) showed no significant difference (P<0.05); in terms of quality of life, the TCM group than Xeloda group can significantly improve patients’symptom scores,Karnofsky score,to improve the quality of life of patients, the differences were statistically significant differences(P<.0.01).Binary Logistic stepwise regression analysis found that maintenance therapy with significant correlation Medicines PFS medicine, that the application of traditional Chinese medicine to maintain patients treated with greater benefits in PFS.Conelusion:The use of Chinese medicine to maintain treatment can prolong chemotherapy in the treatment of advanced colorectal cancer in patients with disease control after progression-free survival period, can significantly improve the patient’s immune function, and by improving the patient’s clinical symptoms,Karnofsky score to improve the quality of life of patients. In addition, the maintenance treatment of Chinese medicine is widely applied to patients with advanced colorectal cancer, has a good advantage, worthy of further research and exploration.
