Calligraphy is the cultural treasure of the Chinese nation. It is the valuable spiritual wealthof human civilization. Chinese calligraphy is included in the UNESCO" human representativelist of the intangible cultural heritage" on September30,2009.It is the important way ofInheriting the outstanding culture of the Chinese nation and cultivating the spirit of patriotismwhich can be trained by calligraphy basic skills and appreciation of primary and secondaryschool students on the calligraphy education. At the same time, it is the important measures ofimproving students’ writing ability of Chinese characters, cultivating aesthetic taste andsentiment, improving cultural cultivation and promoting the comprehensive development ofprimary and secondary school students. In recent ten years, people pay more and more attentionto calligraphy education with the economic development and the improvement of people’s livingstandard in Shandong province. A large number of calligrapher associations and calligraphyeducation activities which are actively carried out by educational institutions at all levels inmany city had achieved good results. But in generally speaking, there are still many problems.The situation is not full hopeful. It can illustrate the necessity and urgency of accelerating theimplementation of primary and middle school students of calligraphy education in Shandongprovince by the exam of the Chinese painting and calligraphy art grade and the ten schools ofcalligraphy education questionnaire in Wulian County.After a large number of social surveys we found that most pupils who learn calligraphy areforced by many pressure. And they are in the absence of a happy mood when they learncalligraphy. Why is it painful to learn the pleasant calligraphy? This article analyzes manypsychological characteristics on pupils’ learning calligraphy from several aspects. Thus, wefurther put forward some main approaches and specific measures on how to foster pupils’calligraphy learning enthusiasm in the process of calligraphy teaching.
