This dissertation will investigate the issue of motivation and strategy of Chinise learning when Korean students studied in Shanghai in 2014. According to the statistics of overseas Korean released by Korean Foreign Ministry in September 2013,China has had the biggest population of overseas Korean. Moreover, in the total number of overseas Korean in China, the proportion of overseas Korean in Shanghai is 6.9% which is large among the cities in China. Therefore, the group of Chinese learning will be regarded as the object of study in this dissertation.The author issued 130 questionnaires during summer holiday in 2014 so as to analyze the issue of motivation and strategy of learning specifically from Korean students in Shanghai, and acquired 103 effective questionnaires. Based on AMTB and SILL, this dissertation will analyze the questionnaire through SPSS with the principle of reliability, scientificity and practicability.This dissertation is divided into seven chapters as follows:The first chapter is the introduction, including the cause and meaning of this topic, the background of research theory which is the theory of learning motivation and learning strategy, and some relevant research achievement.The second chapter mainly explains the design of questionnaire, which includes object referring to gender, age and the proportion of Korean students in different universities, the pattern of questionnaire, design method of analysis tool, and the process of investigation.The third chapter primarily elaborates two factors of learning motivation and learning strategy, and the correlativity of factors which refers to gender, learning time and age through the T-test method.The fourth chapter utilizes Oneway ANOVA to analyze three factors of learningmotivation and learning strategy, and the correlativity of factors, especially the categories of factors, which includes grade of HSK, university, learning time before coming China and learning purpose.With the same method, the fifth chapter and the sixth chapter mainly analyze the correlativity between learning motivation and learning strategy, which focuses on the factors of degree. The fifth chapter primarily analyzes four factors affecting learning,including the satisfaction degree of learning Chinese in China, the level of understanding from class learning, the level of interpersonal relationship, and the communication with Korean students. The sixth chapter mainly explains another four factors affecting learning, which refers to the position of desk, students’ participation,homework check and the effect of examination.The last chapter is conclusion. It summarizes learning motivation and learning strategy caused by these fifteen factors and the correlativity among these factors.Finally, it will propose some relevant suggestions and teaching strategies based on these aspects.
